Meet Princess Olga Romanoff

7th May, Thursday 12.00-18.30Following the success of the project ‘The Tsars in London’ we are inviting you to visit a Russian princess who is the direct descendant of the last Russian tsar Nicholas II. Princess Olga is the great-granddaughter of the Dowager Empress Maria and the granddaughter of Grand Duchess Xenia Alexandrovna, the elder sister of the last Russian Tsar, Nicholas II.Xenia Alexandrovna settled in England after fleeing from Bolshevik Russia in 1919. Olga Romanoff was born and educated here in the UK. She now lives in her country house near Faversham. Please join us to meet Princess Olga at her home and to hear her story. The tour is in English with a Russian translation available and will be on Thursday 7th May.In the 2013 Russian Community Association was awarded a grant from Heritage Lottery Fund to make historical research in London due to the 400 anniversary of the House of Romanov. Surprising links between the royal families of England and Russia were discovered throughout the project and the documentary ‘The Tsars in London’ was made at the end of the project. There are places that the Romanovs visited or lived in: Luton Hoo, Kenwood House, Chiswick House and also Frogmore House, which was the residence of Xenia Alexandrovna Romanova, the sister of the last tsar.

The programme for the tour:
12.00 – We meet at Victoria Station at the WH Smith entrance near platform 9
2.00pm – 3.30pm – Tour of the house with Olga Romanoff
3.30pm – 4.30pm – ‘Dover Castle’ pub. Complimentary tea or coffee
